Turfs up!

Special post for Sam really.... Look at the turf mate. Not only has it settled in, but it is actually outgrowing the rest, which is causing a few problems. A bit of grass from down by the kitchen window was complaining the other day that since the new lot moved in, it had received no attention... Well, if it could have talked, I think that's what it might have said.

Have a look though, it is lush!

That is the finest quality turf so no wonder it is doing so well! (fiver a piece from B&Q actually)

Been meaning to ask for a favour. seems i was a bit rash in giving away all that turf. Our new kittens have arrived and they like to chew on grass. Was wondering if you could do a 3inch piece for me to put in a pot for them?

my courgette plant was eaten by snails so I am dead jealous. BUT I do have cucumbers, tomatoes, potatoes, chard here and the stuff at Kath and Als is great - cauli, carrots, spinach, chard, beans, peas and beetroots at the mo.

I have also had bumper crop of blackcurrants and gooseberries. Chillis and peppers are coming on well.

As to flowers, you need to see it to believe it. A riot indeed. Nasturtiums everywhere. Did you know you can put marifold petals in salad - tasy and aesthetically pleasing.
Keep up the good work.
Love and kisses, Mum

Mum, stop showing off! Or I'll have to come back there with a football - just like the old days...

Peter, the new turf really does look lovely but I believe that tidying up and straightening the edges and getting rid of the weeds on the steps will take the garden to a whole new level. So far so good though, I have high hopes for you my young apprentice.
